Why Builders Select Insurance?

Builders Select Insurance was created to give builders and remodelers a source to go to protect their business and projects with both insurance and risk transfer products. We custom design an insurance program for you to provide maximum protection and coverage for the least amount of money. With over 20 years of industry experience focused only on the residential construction industry, we have been able to partner with several of the best commercial insurance carriers that offer the most comprehensive coverage while still being very affordable.

Curt Jones

Curt Jones is the president and owner of Builders Select Insurance Group AKA BSIG 



Curt is passionate about helping builders and contractors protect their businesses by educating them on various insurance products and risk transfer strategies. 

 Curt practically grew up on his father's construction jobsites in the Midwest. Working weekends and summers in construction gave Curt his hard work ethic and gained a lot of respect for those in the construction industry. Curt went on to college to earn his BA Degree in Business and Marketing and then on to earning his MBA. 

Curt started his insurance career 27 years ago with Wausau Business Insurance. Curt took an opportunity to get back to his construction roots at a large construction risk insurance agency and excelled as a senior homebuilder producer for 13+ years, winning numerous sales awards. Curt became discouraged when management became more focused on commission dollars and less focused on providing excellent service to their construction clients.  Curt made the decision to start Builders Select Insurance in 2013 to provide improved service to homebuilders and contactors. The focus has been to provide education and improved service to a select set of homebuilder and contractor clients.  Customers of BSIG only talk to experienced licensed insurance agents. The builder will not be handed off to an account rep that does not know the difference between a stud and a header!

When Curt is not working with builders, he is often working on his own construction projects including his lakehouse on Toledo Bend Resv. He is also a nature lover and very involved in several Great Dane dog rescue groups and has 4 Great Danes of his own. He also is becoming involved in golf again and enjoys time on the water fishing and boating.
